Moscow is an expanding metropolis with a polycentric approach. The Madrid Regional Plan and the MetroCiTi Method application to Madrid and Bogota’s experience can be very relevant to the metropolitan framework of Greater Moscow. A first analysis was carried out in 1997 at the occasion of a Moscow Planning Delegation visit to the Madrid Regional Planning Department (Direccion General de Planificacion Regional y Urbanismo). The analysis is in the archives of the Cartographic Unit of the General Directorate.
