In 1996, Colombo had an intelligent metropolitan plan with a vision to allocate growth compatible with the efficiency of the infrastructures and the preservation of the environment. This good example of linear-reticular metropolitan structure (see Madrid Regional Plan of 1996) is still valid today and can be used to organize, to a higher degree, the expansion Colombo is experiencing. The linear coast and the topographic gradients inland characterize the actual structure and the potential territorial framework. The structure is set, and was already discovered and presented in 1996. Colombo just needs to follow the right path and develop the system. The CT Method can provide help for that. |
