POB Suggestions on 2017 Mega Rio Metropolitan Plan and Law Drafts |

| Rio is developing a Plan and a Law (Estatuto) to provide a management framework for the metropolitan dimension.
The results look good. We think however that they could benefit from some suggestions. We are very grateful to the Dec 01 2017 meetings with both the Metro Camara and the Prefeitura de Rio that triggered these presented ideas. We wish they will be useful to foster some positive discussions and further profiling. |

| Guidelines for Rio Metropolitan Acupuncture
Rio is a triangle into the sea, out of the Brazilian national mountain range that links Sao Paolo and Rio. The triangle has Rio's Bay approximatively at its middle: - The West Side is overcrowded. It is the Urban dimension of Rio. Needs some urban measures. - The East Side of the triangle, beyond the Bay, is not yet consistently structured. Rio has to organize: 1) the metropolitan East Side and 2) the valley north of the mountain ridge. That is the Mega Rio project. Decongestion through an articulated expansive structure.
